Seeking Weed, Pest & Mosquito Advisory Committee Volunteer

The Board of Ada County Commissioners is currently seeking an individual interested in volunteering their time to serve on Ada County’s Weed, Pest & Mosquito Advisory Committee. This is a volunteer position to fill a term expiring on September 30, 2013. Interested applicants must live in and own a residence in Ada County within the mosquito abatement district, and must be a registered voter. This opening will close on February 12, 2010 or when filled.

The seven (7) member Ada County Weed, Pest & Mosquito Advisory Committee typically meets on the second Wednesday of each month to discuss all aspects associated with weed, pest & mosquito control programs within Ada County. Committee members may also be asked to perform other duties and functions as required by the Ada County Weed, Pest & Mosquito Advisory Committee by-laws.

Interested persons need to complete a volunteer board application, available at the Ada County Commissioners' Office. The Commissioners’ Office is located on the third floor of the Ada County Courthouse at 200 W. Front Street, Boise, 83702. The volunteer board application has also been posted to the Ada County Commissioner’s website at www.adaweb.net; from the Commissioners’ website, click on the ‘Volunteer Boards & Committee’ link.
