If you can’t vote on Election Day at your polling place here are two alternatives.
Absentee Voting
Registered voters may request an absentee ballot be mailed to them up to 6 days before an election. A request for an absentee ballot must be received by 5:00 p.m. the WEDNESDAY before an election. Election officials encourage voters return their absentee ballots as quickly as possible. Absentee ballots MUST be received at the Election’s Office at 400 N Benjamin Lane, Suite 100, Boise, ID by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
In Idaho, you may submit a request for absentee ballot for multiple elections so long as all elections fall with in the same calendar year. All requests must include the voter's name, address, signature, and Election(s) requested. If you wish to request an absentee ballot for an upcoming election, complete and print the absentee request form below. Be sure to sign it and mail it to the Ada County Elections Office at 400 N Benjamin Lane, Suite 100, Boise, ID 83704
