Ada County currently has over 195,000 registered voters.  Each election, over 1,000 election workers must be recruited to staff the 141 voting precincts, early voting sites, and Election Central.  If you are a civic-minded individual and would like to commit a small portion of your time to preserving democracy, we invite your participation.  Please take a moment to review the various levels of commitment below.  Complete an application indicating in which capacity you would prefer to work.

Poll Workers

$125 Full Day - $45 Evening

Election Central

$10 per hour

Early Voting

$10 per hour 

 Requirements:

 

-Estimated Time Commitment:

  • Full Day Shift - 7am to 9pm
  • Evening Shift - 4pm to 9pm

-  Attend a mandatory training

 

- At least 17 years of age

 

-  US citizen

 

- Registered to vote (if 18 or older)

 

- Transportation to and from polls

 

- Ability to:

  • Read and write English
  • Follow detailed instructions
  • Lift 20 lbs.
  • Move about polling place
  • Maintain composure under stress

- Good attitude is a must

  • 2-3 Weeks
  • Full Day Shift - 8am to 5 pm
  • Lunch Break Shift - 11am to 3pm

- Attend a mandatory training

- At least 17 years of age

- US citizen

- Registerd to vote (if 18 or older)

- Ability to:

  • Read and write English
  • Follow detailed instructions
  • Use computer to perform data entry
  • Maintain composure under stress

- Good attitude is a must

 

Responsibilities:

 

- Help set up and take down the polling place.

 

- Manage specific Election Day tasks as instructed in training.

 

- Process voters in an efficient and courteous manner.

 

- Follow the rules and procedures outlined by Chief Judge and Idaho State Code.

 

 Responsibilities:

 

- Perform specific early voting tasks.

 

- Data entry.

 

- Process voters in an efficient and courteous manner.

 

- Follow the rules and procedures outlined by the Idaho State Code.
