WELCOME TO ADA COUNTY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
Mission Statement
Our vision is to be partners in our communities,
to provide leadership, and to promote
values that sustain our quality of life
Ada County Development Services provides land development permitting, planning and zoning regulation, and other land use planning to support the interests of the public. These services are of general benefit to the community and are not limited to the development occurring on individual properties in the unincorporated areas of Ada County. Development Services has a vital role and a mandated responsibility as a local government to act on behalf of the public to protect its interests and to support its values. Many of these tasks are only accomplished by Ada County government and are not performed by any other public or private entity. Development Services must coordinate with many other local government agencies in the processing of land development applications. These services must be carefully synchronized with the land development process. Development Services is organized into five divisions under the leadership of Meg Leatherman with a staff of about 15 people with a variety of educational backgrounds and technical skills.
Ada County Development Services is responsible for unincorporated Ada County. If you are located within city limits please refer to your city of residence at one of the links listed below.
