Requesting SOT Response

Emergency services agencies responding to a potential rescue may request the Joint Special Operations Team. However, according to Idaho statute, the respective county's sheriff is ultimately responsible for rescues in his or her county. SOT will coordinate its response with the appropriate sheriff when a response request is received. Also, SOT coordinates ground or air transport as necessary.

To request Ada County Paramedics SOT:

  1. Contact the Idaho State Communications Center by radio on State Comm F-2 (155.280 MHz) and specifically request the Ada County Paramedics Special Operations Team.
  2. The county sheriff requests the Ada County Paramedics Special Operations Team by calling the Ada County 9-1-1 Communications Center, (208) 377-7251.
  3. The Ada County Paramedics on-duty field supervisor is notified by the Ada County Communications Center and SOT personnel are organized for the response. Requests made by agencies outside Ada County are first approved by the Ada County Paramedics Director and Board of County Commissioners.
