Ada County's landfill facility is located at 10300 North Seaman's Gulch Road. To get to the landfill, follow these simple directions. For ease of reference, we shall use the Western Idaho Fairgrounds as our starting point. The Western Idaho Fairgrounds are used because most residents of Ada County know where they are located (Glenwood and Chinden).
The street running north and south past the Fairgrounds is Glenwood. Go north on Glenwood. You know you are heading north if you can see the Boise Foothills ahead of you. As you drive north on Glenwood, you will come to the intersection of Glenwood Street and State Street. Continue north through the intersection. You will notice that the street name has changed to Gary Lane. Keep going north on Gary Lane to the intersection of Gary Lane and Hill Road Parkway. (There is a traffic signal at this intersection.) Follow Hill Road Parkway to the left (west). From here, the road curves to the left and then straightens out. Watch for the blue and white "Sanitary Landfill" signs. You will make a big curve to the right and the street becomes Seaman's Gulch Road. Continue north on Seaman's Gulch Road for about 1¼ miles. The middle lane of Seaman's Gulch Road is for landfill traffic. The entrance to the landfill is clearly marked on the left hand side of the road.
