Do you have a tired, old television?

Did you recently "upgrade" to a shiny new digital television?

Do you know what to do with your old set?

Ada County has your answer!

Through the Ada County Household Hazardous Materials Management Program, residents may bring their old televisions to the County's landfill. Units dropped off at the landfill are sent to a processing facility where the units are 'demanufactured' for their recyclable components.

Residents may also take advantage of one of the many convenient drop-off sites located through-out the City of Boise and the City of Meridian (see the link below). However, due to size and weight constraints of the collection vehicles, please, no console televisions or televisions larger than 27-inch at the collection sites.

The Television/Computer Monitor collection program is available to residents and businesses within Ada County. And the best part of this program is that it is FREE! There is no charge for dropping off a television or computer monitor. Businesses seeking to discard their old televisions or computer monitors must bring those units to the County's landfill. The mobile collection sites are for residential hazardous wastes only.

For more information on disposing of old televisions, computer monitors or other electronics, please contact the Ada County Household Hazardous Materials Collection Facility at (208) 577-4736.
