Your trash account has been assigned a new account number. If you are currently using any online account management tool such as Bill Pay, you will need to update the account number and address information. You will need to reapply if you were having your payments automatically deducted from your checking account by Allied Waste. Please see below for more information regarding Convenient Bill Paying Options.
If your payments are not received correctly, there will be a delay in crediting your account and late charges may accrue.

Holidays
AWS and the Ada County Landfill observe the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. During these holiday weeks, if your normal collection day falls on or after the holiday, collection will be delayed by one day.
Important Notice - Service Rate Increase
Rates for residential trash collection in Ada County will increase by 5% effective November 1, 2012. The rate increase in reflected on your statement for service November 2012 – January 2013 and covers cost of services provided.
Convenient Bill Paying Options - ACH & CREDIT CARD
Ada County Billing Services offers automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account (ACH). If you are interested in starting this convenient and cost effective bill paying option, simply complete the Authorization Agreement and mail it along with a VOIDED check from the account you wish to pay your solid waste collection billing. Please be aware, in order for this to be cost effective, you will not receive futures bills. We will send a calendar once a year stating the four dates your account will be deducted. Deductions will occur on the 10th of November, February, May and August of each year.

Check Processing
In accordance with Federal Reserve Board guidelines, when you provide a check as payment, you authorize us to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. For further information visit www.electronicpayments.org. When we use information from your check to make an electronic fund transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day you make your payment, and you will not receive your check back from your financial institution.
HARDSHIP PROCEDURE - EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011
Solid Waste Management Ordinance 786, as amended states:
Exemptions: Effective July 1, 2011, a residential customer may apply for an exemption due to extreme and unusual circumstances (i.e. military service, institutionalization, extended hopital admission, uninhabitable premises, etc.) or due to other financial hardship by completing the application available through Ada County Department of Indigent Services. Such application shall be submitted to Ada County Department of Indigent Services prior to consideration by the board. If approved by the board, the exemption is valid for one (1) year from the date of approval. Upon the expiration of one (1) year, the residential customer may submit a new application. Homeowners may put the bill for trash services into a tenants' name by completing an Owner Authorization form and mailing it to ACBS, 200 W Front Street, Boise, ID 83702.
