Members of the Ada County Weed, Pest & Mosquito Advisory Committee are appointed by the Board of Ada County Commissioners. These seven appointed experts and two ex-officio members provide public oversight and input on the Department's vision and operations. The committee meets monthly at the Weed, Pest & Mosquito Abatement Facility in Meridian to discuss current events and upcoming issues. The goals of the committee are to aid the department in better serving the residents of Ada County by the use of planning, prioritization, technology, and cost effectiveness. Each committee member is an expert from fields including science, epidemiology, agriculture, pest control, and veterinary medicine.
