The interactive Budget Priorities Survey provided on the following pages is designed to engage Ada County citizens in the county’s budgeting process.  While this online tool presents a hypothetical spending scenario, the data collected from citizens completing this survey will help the Board of County Commissioners more accurately understand where citizen spending priorities lay.

The majority, 56%, of Ada County’s total budget is currently funded by fees charged for services and other non-property tax related revenues.  Only 44% of Ada County’s current budget is funded by property tax dollars.  Idaho law requires Ada County to provide the majority of all services currently being offered.  The Board of County Commissioners hopes increased citizen input during this budgeting process will help Ada County elected officials better prioritize budget spending and perhaps identify new county services not currently provided.
