Administration

Ada County’s Juvenile Courts and the administrative offices for all related services are located at 6300 W. Denton Street, Boise, ID 83704. Steven C. Dye, Director, supervises the management team and leads a staff of approximately 160 employees by providing them with leadership, vision, and guidance through strategic planning.

Five principal areas fall under Steven C. Dye's direct supervision:

1. Administration – led by the Administrative Manager, who acts as the human resource officer, administrative coordinator, court clerk, and clerical staff supervisor.  Staff members in the Administrative Unit are involved in and responsible for court case flow processes and judicial records.

2. Budget/Finance – led by the Budget/Finance Manager.  In addition to the responsibilities of budget issues, this department handles disbursement of fines, fees, and restitution.  Related victim services are also included in this department.

3. Seventy-One-Bed Detention Facility – led by the Detention Manager.  Residents in our detention facility receive federally-accredited health care and food services, and a variety of educational programs.  We also participate and promote alternatives to secure confinement.

4. Probation Services and Programs – led by the Court Services Manager.  ACJCS has a full range of probation services ranging from prevention to intensive supervision, and also offers substance abuse programs, domestic violence services, community service, and counseling.

5. Research– led by the Research Analyst.  We plan and conduct research and statistical projects on trends in juvenile crime and offenders in Ada County to inform our decision making and strategic planning.
