The Claims Division of Risk Management handles all auto, property and liability claims filed against Ada County and its employees. The Division oversees the adjustment of workers’ compensation claims by third party administrators. These claims are handled by Intermountain Claims, Inc.

Tort claims are reviewed and either accepted or denied based on their merits. Litigated claims are assigned to either the County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office or outside counsel. The Division works with assigned attorneys to obtain the most favorable result possible for the County. We are committed to settling claims owed at a fair and reasonable amount while defending frivolous claims or claims with no merit.
