Motor Vehicles Mission

MISSION

To process motor vehicle titles, license plates and registration renewals in a friendly, legal and cost-efficient manner. The Meridian Satellite Office also assists the Ada County Sheriff in issuing drivers licenses and identification cards and testing of drivers education students in the Meridian School District. The Ada County Assessor's Motor Vehicle Division also assists the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation in issuing off road vehicle, snowmobile and boat registrations. Services include collecting state sales taxes for the Idaho State Tax Commission and commercial fees for the Idaho Public Utilities Commission.

VISION

As the number of on-site transactions continues to increase, the Motor Vehicle Division will acquire and utilize appropriate state-of-the-art technology to safely, efficiently and conveniently provide patrons with more options to conduct transactions. The Motor Vehicle Division will continue to combat negative perceptions by providing fast, friendly customer service while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
