Guardianship of a Minor
As of July 1st, 2004, it may be required that the courts appoint a Guardian ad Litem (an attorney to represent the child) for minors in Guardianship cases. If the court requires a Guardian ad Litem, the petitioners must provide the Judge with an Order Appointing Guardian ad Litem and will be required to pay for the Guardian ad Litem.
