Treasure Valley Partnership
On June 19, 1997, Ada County, became a charter member of the Treasure Valley Partnership. The partnership is dedicated to regional coordination and cooperation while maintaining the unique characteristics of the communities in the Treasure Valley. The partnership aims to maximize the benefits of growth, while protecting the region from costly sprawl, and to foster inter-community collaboration in resolving transportation, public safety, air and water quality, and emergency management issues.
During it's first meeting, the partnership set four goals which included creating a coherent regional growth and development pattern, linking land use and transportation, reinforcing local community identities, and protecting and enhancing open space and recreational opportunities in the valley.
The partnership is composed of Ada County, City of Meridian, Garden City, Canyon County, City of Nampa, Boise, City of Caldwell, City of Eagle, and the City of Kuna. The partnership meets monthly.
