Within flood plains, Engineering reviews proposals for compliance with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regulations. Engineering coordinates with many agencies to review proposed street names and addressing assignments to provide accurate information to emergency service providers and to businesses and homeowners. Engineering works closely with the Surveying Division to review preliminary subdivision plats, natural features maps, and hillside reports for proposed developments.
