Preservation Month

2006 Idaho Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month Poster.

Each year in May the Council strives to participate in Idaho Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month. Historic Preservation groups throughout the state are encouraged to provide free opportunities to the general public in order to raise awareness of the important role that archaeology and historic preservation play in enriching our lives and making the Treasure Valley a great place to live, work and play.

A subcommitte has been formed to plan events for Preservation Month in 2007.  Kelly Mitchell ([208] 389-7848) is the project lead, with assistance from Jack Clark and Curt James.
