Recycling Programs

Maximizing landfill space is a priority for Ada County.  Recycling programs for in-house waste such as office paper, newspaper, aluminum cans, and cardboard help divert thousands of pounds of recyclable materials from the landfill each year.  The Ada County employees are an integral part of the County’s recycling programs.  Without their cooperation and support, the programs would not be nearly as successful as they are. 

To aid the efforts, the Ada County Solid Waste Management department promotes recycling and waste diversion programs at the landfill for wood waste, used tires, refrigeration units, computer monitors, and hazardous waste materials such as paints, batteries, cleansers, solvents and automotive products.  For more information about the Hazardous Waste Facility or recycling options at the Hidden Hollow Landfill, go to www.adaweb.net and click on Solid Waste Management.
