About Ada County Paramedics
Our mission
The mission of Ada County Paramedics is to enhance the health, well-being, and quality of life of everyone in Ada County. Our vision focuses on the ever-changing healthcare needs of the people we serve by continually providing the best acute medical and trauma services. We recognize that community outreach and education programs are integral parts of our service.
Our history
The Ada County Ambulance Tax District was formed on March 25, 1975. At that time, two ambulances served approximately 141,000 people in Ada and Boise counties.
Our people
Today, Ada County Paramedics is comprised of roughly 107 field positions and 13 field supervisors, 20 administrative staff members.
Field crews are highly skilled pre-hospital care providers with diverse backgrounds and well-respected expertise. The quality of medicine we deliver to our patients is first rate. We enjoy the support of our medical directors, who trust our high standard of care.
Office professionals, technicians, and administrators provide outstanding leadership to our department and service to our customers. From maintenance to accounting, it takes the right group of people to support one of the community's vital functions.
