New Open Space And Trails Coming To West Foothills

Ada County Commissioners have set aside 228 acres of Ada County Landfill property for open space and trails.

This newest addition to Ada County’s open space and trails effort is in an underserved part of the county. Very little public land or trails currently exists in the western foothills. The Concept Site Plan for the area includes:
- One parking area for 10-14 cars and two horse trailers.
- Approximately 3 miles of non-motorized trails.
- The site will be managed by the Ada County Parks and Waterways Department
